Apprentice.io has acquired Ganymede, an AI-enabled cloud platform focused on capturing, standardizing, and automating laboratory and process data. The transaction extends Apprentice’s platform beyond manufacturing execution into laboratory and development environments, with the aim of reducing data fragmentation across the product lifecycle.
With the addition of Ganymede, Apprentice is positioned to support a continuous digital thread spanning research and development, process development, technology transfer, and commercial manufacturing. By connecting instrument-level laboratory data with manufacturing execution and process intelligence, the combined platform is intended to reduce friction during scale-up and improve data continuity as products progress toward commercial production.
Extending Manufacturing Intelligence into the Laboratory
The acquisition expands Apprentice’s manufacturing intelligence capabilities by integrating laboratory data with real-time process execution and analytics. Key outcomes of the combined platform include:

Ganymede’s Lab-as-Code approach becomes a core component of the Apprentice platform, enabling users to define integrations and analytical workflows directly in software while maintaining real-time connections to laboratory instruments and scientific applications. The existing Ganymede product suite for R&D and diagnostics data will continue to be offered.
Supporting Lifecycle-Scale AI Adoption
Founded in 2022, Ganymede was built for wet-lab life sciences and manufacturing environments. Its team will join Apprentice’s organization, contributing expertise in data infrastructure, life sciences, and machine learning. Together, the combined capabilities reflect a broader effort to apply AI consistently across the full manufacturing lifecycle, from early research through scaled production, using shared data models and integrated workflows.
