Our Monday sessions at the ARC Industry Forum in Orlando feature a workshop with cybersecurity supplier Fortinet.  For many organizations, competing effectively in today’s digital economy requires converging IT and operational technology (OT) environments.  Cybercriminals are maximizing their opportunity by targeting older vulnerabilities and exploiting an expanding attack surface.  They love to focus their efforts where/when defenders aren’t watching.

Gaining greater visibility to network activity, while a great starting point, is only the first step for organizations converging legacy and modern environments.  During this session, Fortinet will explore common security challenges in this digital age and why it requires more than visibility to secure a united OT-IT environment.  Fortinet will explore security considerations beyond visibility including integrated control and situational awareness which support an offensive cybersecurity strategy.

From this session, you’ll:

  • Discover how recycled threats indicate that some fundamentals still need attention
  • Understand the need for integrated control providing enforcement points to segment and inspect network traffic
  • Recognize the value of automated awareness, informing timely and appropriate response, to protect the converged environment

The session includes Michelle Balderson of Fortinet as the primary speaker and begins at 12:00 PM Monday, February 3.
