ServiceMax Core 24R2

PTC announced the latest product updates to its ServiceMax Core as part of the just-released version 24R2. One of the key reasons that PTC acquired ServiceMax was to expand its solution portfolio footprint. The way to productize this vision is to provide pre-configured integration to other PTC products. These updates include:

  • Windchill PLM Integration (beta) – ServiceMax users can now report issues or incidents to the engineering team within a service environment.

  • Arbortext Integration (beta) – ServiceMax users can now access service support information, including product manuals, documentation and parts lists, helping to ensure faster, more effective access to critical knowledge is available at the point of service.

  • Pricing Flexibility Enhancements – New controls now address more nuanced pricing scenarios by technicians, such as manual discounts and custom pricebooks associated with work orders.

  • Timesheets Overhaul – New user interface and programming have helped to simplify the setup, configuration and use of timesheets, so users can better track work and technician time encompassing overtime, breaks, and other time types to gain greater clarity on the true costs of service delivery.
