AVEVA and Cognizant announced that the two companies have expanded their research and development (R&D) partnership to develop software for industrial applications ranging from water and energy to food and infrastructure.

The multi-year, multi-million-dollar deal will help users of this software to modernize and implement digital technologies, which can help these users to boost their company’s competitiveness, profitability and return on capital.  AVEVA’s and Cognizant's digital, industrial IoT, product, cloud and software engineering teams will work in close collaboration with each other to design and build a wide range of engineering and industrial software.  The products will span the engineering lifecycle, including simulations, design, construction, commissioning, planning, operations management, monitoring and control, as well as performance optimization.  Using more scaled agile development methodologies and best practices, AVEVA’s and Cognizant’s teams will collaborate to help accelerate time-to-market for the new software.

This latest announcement expands a 10-year relationship between the two companies, during which time both companies have collaborated on several industry-specific solutions for customers in the oil and gas, chemicals, power and utilities, food and beverage, and infrastructure industries.
