Emerson Increases Control Technology in the Renewable Energy Sector with Acquisition of Denmark-based Mita-Teknik

Emerson Electric has expanded its control systems business in the renewable energy sector with the acquisition of Rødkærsbro, Denmark-based Mita-Teknik. a company that provides technology to manage wind turbines. Financial terms of the all-cash deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 1969, Mita[1]Teknik provides control system technology and software designed to improve wind turbine and wind farm performance and optimize energy usage. Mita-Teknik’s technology is used with more than 60,000 wind turbines globally. Through Emerson’s acquisition, Mita-Teknik has become part of the Automation Solutions unit, the larger of its two major divisions. In a press release, Emerson said its deal boosts control technology in the renewable energy sector and expands its “ability to help customers in their quest to digitally transform operations and meet sustainability goals.”
