NVIDIA Partners with US Manufacturing Leaders to Drive Physical AI

At a recent NVIDIA GTC conference in Washington, D.C., NVIDIA announced that major US manufacturers, industrial software developers, and robotics firms are utilizing NVIDIA’s Omniverse technology platform to establish advanced robotic production facilities and develop autonomous collaborative robots to promote US reindustrialization.

Artificial intelligence is a growing force transforming global production facilities into “intelligent thinking machines.” The company, in collaboration with US manufacturing leaders, is working to develop physical AI, digital twins, and intelligent robots to launch a new industrial revolution.

To that end, NVIDIA is expanding its core Omniverse Blueprint software, designed for simulating robot fleets, to incorporate tools for designing and simulating complete factory digital twins. Siemens is the first organization to develop digital twin software supporting this expanded Blueprint as part of the company’s Xcelerator platform. The new industrial technology stack, currently in beta, aims to marry realistic 3D models with real-time operational data to assist in creating more efficient production facilities and data centers.

AI-Driven Factories

NVIDIA announced significant investments toward expanding US production capacity, particularly in electronics, pharmaceuticals, and semiconductor verticals. American corporations are leveraging applications from independent software vendors and Omniverse tools to construct facilities that incorporate robotics and physical AI.

Belden has implemented Accenture's Physical AI Orchestrator, which combines Omniverse tools, the NVIDIA Metropolis platform, and Accenture's agentic AI. This system establishes virtual safety perimeters for instant monitoring of hazardous zones and provides real-time quality inspection capabilities in production and logistics environments.

Caterpillar is using Omniverse to create digital twins of its factories and supply chains. These are applied to advanced manufacturing capabilities like predictive maintenance and dynamic scheduling, with NVIDIA NIM microservices driving workflow automation and optimizing factory upkeep.

Lucid Motors uses Omniverse for real-time factory planning and optimization via digital twins, as well as for training AI-driven robotics systems.

Toyota is utilizing idealworks’ iw.sim technology, which incorporates elements of the Omniverse Blueprint, to create digital twins of its Georgetown, Kentucky facility to explore complex automation scenarios.

TSMC is leveraging Omniverse to speed up the design and construction of its fabrication plants and employing the NVIDIA Isaac platform for developing robotics specific to operations at its Phoenix, Arizona facility to significantly improve manufacturing output.

Wistron is implementing a range of NVIDIA AI and Omniverse technologies to create a rigorous digital testing and validation process for the systems it assembles at its Fort Worth, Texas facility.

Robotic Workforce Development

NVIDIA is partnering with robotics companies to develop and deploy advanced robot fleets that will play a crucial role in mitigating skills gaps, boosting worker productivity, and enhancing safety.

Figure and NVIDIA have partnered to accelerate the development of next-generation humanoid robotics. Figure is using NVIDIA accelerated computing to build its Helix vision-language-action model and the Isaac platform for simulation and training to rapidly develop a large-scale humanoid fleet.

Agility Robotics is utilizing the NVIDIA Isaac Lab framework to refine the whole-body control of its general-purpose humanoid, Digit, through extensive reinforcement learning simulations.

Amazon Robotics employs Omniverse libraries to reduce the development cycle for its various manipulation and mobile robot systems, which run on the NVIDIA Jetson platform.

Skild AI is developing a unified robotics foundation model for legged, wheeled, and humanoid robots using Isaac Lab for training locomotion and manipulation tasks, and NVIDIA Cosmos models for generating training data.

FieldAI is training cross-embodied robot AI for monitoring and inspection tasks in construction and oil and gas environments. It utilizes Isaac Lab for reinforcement learning and NVIDIA Isaac Sim for synthetic data generation and software validation.

AI Infrastructure for Industrial Digitalization

NVIDIA provides edge solutions and collaborates with cloud service providers to ensure access to the powerful AI and simulation infrastructure necessary for accelerating American manufacturing.

The NVIDIA IGX Thor, an enterprise platform powered by NVIDIA Blackwell and designed for next-generation industrial and medical edge AI applications, is being adopted by companies including Diligent Robotics, EndoQuest Robotics, Hitachi Rail, Joby Aviation, Maven, and the SETI Institute.
