Open Process Automation: From Vision to Implementation:
OPAF will host a dedicated session at the ARC European Industry Forum, providing an in depth look at the latest developments in open process automation. The Open Process Automation Forum (OPAF), an initiative of The Open Group, is committed to advancing open, secure, and interoperable process control systems. Through the development of the Open Process Automation Standard (OPA-S), OPAF seeks to move industrial automation beyond proprietary, vendor locked solutions toward an open, flexible, and future ready architecture.
The session will feature a series of presentations by industry specialists, followed by a panel discussion. The presentations will include an overview of the group’s latest activities and current initiatives, as well as industry use cases in which technology users will share their experiences implementing OPA S. During the panel discussion, representatives from technology providers will join technology users to share their perspectives on the risks and business opportunities associated with adopting this approach.
