Rockwell Automation launched TechConnectIQ Support, combining remote technical expertise, AI-enabled tools, and installed-base visibility for manufacturers.

Rockwell Automation launched TechConnectIQ℠ Support, a modernized remote support offering designed to help manufacturers reduce downtime, accelerate issue resolution, and simplify software and firmware updates.

The service is intended to help give maintenance, engineering, and operations teams faster access to Rockwell Automation’s technical expertise, digital resources, knowledge, and system updates when issues arise. By combining remote technical assistance with digital support tools, TechConnectIQ can also help to reduce the need for on-site field visits and enable teams to respond more efficiently to operational challenges.

TechConnectIQ Support is currently available to single-site contract customers in North America, with additional regions planned for 2027. Available 24x7x365, Rockwell Automation’s technical support engineers assist with installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and issue resolution across industrial automation systems.

Modernizing Remote Technical Support

TechConnectIQ brings hardware and software support into a more consolidated structure while providing customers with access to support information through the myRockwellAutomation TechConnect hub.

Key capabilities include:

  • Real-time access to technical specialists through web-based tools, scheduled callbacks, and live support.

  • Improved data visibility through access to installed-base information and support history.

  • Consolidated hardware and software coverage through Basic, Standard, and Professional support tiers.

  • AI-enabled support tools, including federated search, augmented reality guidance, and instructional videos.

  • Support for software and firmware updates.

  • 24x7x365 technical assistance for installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.

The combination of self-service resources and direct access to technical specialists is intended to provide users with more options when responding to automation and maintenance issues.

Combining Technical Expertise with Digital Support Tools

TechConnectIQ combines conventional remote technical support with digital and AI-assisted resources.

Federated search is intended to help users locate relevant information across technical knowledge sources, while augmented reality guidance and instructional videos can provide additional assistance during maintenance and troubleshooting activities.

Access to installed-base information and previous support history can also help to provide additional context when diagnosing equipment or software issues. This can help maintenance and engineering teams better understand system configurations and previous support interactions before determining the next course of action.

The service builds on Rockwell Automation’s existing TechConnect offering, which has provided technical support for industrial automation systems for more than two decades.

Supporting Connected Maintenance Operations

TechConnectIQ reflects the increasing integration of remote technical assistance, asset information, digital knowledge resources, and maintenance workflows.

For manufacturers operating increasingly interconnected automation environments, access to remote specialists and contextual system information can complement internal maintenance and engineering resources, particularly when specialized expertise is not immediately available on site.

The introduction of TechConnectIQ also aligns with Rockwell Automation’s broader expansion of digital and managed services across areas including maintenance, asset management, and industrial operations.
