New ArmorKinetix Distributed Servo Drives Launched by Rockwell Automation
Rockwell Automation launched ArmorKinetix Distributed Servo Drives. This new distributed servo drive is an extension of the Kinetix 5700 platform and provides customers with a scalable drive solution that helps them deliver leaner, greener, and more powerful machine designs.
Manufacturers are increasingly seeking scalable solutions that can help to simplify their machine control architectures, minimize the number of components, reduce manufacturing time, and optimize productivity. ArmorKinetix Distributed Servo Drives help to enable customers to achieve these goals by providing a more simplified architecture that mounts the servo solution outside of an electrical cabinet. As a result, machines can be designed to be more modular while reducing cabinet size, cabling, and cooling requirements.
The smart servo drives also include vibration and thermal sensors that can detect potential machine issues, providing the ability to more proactively identify and address problems and increase system uptime. This proactive approach can provide a catalyst for increased productivity.

Rockwell Automation Updates Analytics Portfolio with Release of FactoryTalk Analytics DataView 4.02
Rockwell Automation introduced FactoryTalk Analytics DataView 4.02, an update to its analytics portfolio, to help its customers make faster and more informed decisions. This new version is designed with features and enhancements that help it to provide a more responsive and reliable user experience, enabling customers to focus on extracting additional insights from data with less interuptions.
FactoryTalk Analytics DataView 4.02 offers automatic storyboard sharing that helps to foster collaboration among teams and stakeholders. Users can now connect to FactoryTalk Edge Gateway, FactoryTalk Live Data, FactoryTalk Historian, SQL, OPC UA and InfluxDB through the InfoPlatform service and leverage real-time data streaming capabilities, enabling live streaming charts that auto-update. Installation updates offer a more simplified deployment, helping to provide a more responsive and reliable user experience.
Rockwell Automation also recently released two brand new editions of FactoryTalk Analytics DataView that provide pre-built data connectors and storyboard templates specifically designed for FactoryTalk data sources: FactoryTalk Analytics DataView FactoryTalk Metrics Edition and FactoryTalk Analytics DataView FactoryTalk Alarms & Events Edition. These editions help to reduce time to value for descriptive analytics solutions and help customers to minimize downtime and improve process efficiency with better troubleshooting and identification of continuous improvement projects.
