Saipem, a company specializing in engineering services for the energy and infrastructure sectors, and AVEVA, a provider of industrial software, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to co-develop artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) solutions. The initiative aims to help further advance engineering design and construction processes into energy and infrastructure facilities.
The collaboration will focus on helping to advance several key areas:
Optimization of 3D Modeling and Project Planning: Improving design processes to enhance accuracy and reduce time.
Streamlining Material Procurement and Supply Chain Management: Simplifying logistics to provide more seamless project execution.
Development of Generative and Predictive Design Tools: Enabling multiple simulation scenarios to further optimize plant designs in 1D, 2D, and 3D.
These AI-driven solutions are expected to help enhance project efficiency across the lifecycle, from estimation to plant design and construction. The advancements aim to help reduce task completion times, improve communication among stakeholders, and enhance consistency.
