Schneider Electric announced the launch of its Integrated Platform Operations Center (IPOC), an intelligence platform for airports that connects energy, assets, and operations in one real-time environment. It is designed to help airport teams improve performance, strengthen resilience, and support decarbonization efforts.
Passenger traffic is expected to more than double by 2040. However, many airports continue to operate more than 30 siloed systems across terminal, landside, and airside environments. This lack of integration can limit operational efficiency and make real-time decision-making more difficult. Airports are also under increasing pressure to meet net zero targets by 2050 while managing rising energy costs, which account for approximately 10 to 15 percent of airport operating expenditure.
Built on AVEVA software, IPOC combines energy, automation, and industrial intelligence into a single operational platform that connects airport systems, stakeholders, and critical processes.
