Siemens unveiled several new AI collaborations during this week’s Hanover Fair in Germany. Among them is a joint effort with Microsoft to develop an Industrial Foundation Model (IFM) on the Azure platform, tailored to industry-specific data. The goal is to transform how humans and machines work together, while enhancing productivity, efficiency, and quality across the value chain. The IFM is designed to interpret and contextualize 3D models, 2D drawings, industrial data, and technical specifications. By offering data-driven recommendations, it aims to accelerate the adoption of AI in industrial settings, help address the skilled labor shortage, and improve operational performance.

Siemens and Accenture have announced the formation of the Accenture Siemens Business Group, a dedicated unit consisting of 7,000 professionals globally. The two companies will jointly develop and promote solutions that integrate technology from the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio—covering industrial AI, software, and automation—with Accenture’s expertise in data and AI. The initiative aims to speed up digital transformation for clients across various industries, with a special focus on high-growth regions.

Through its collaboration with NVIDIA, Siemens is integrating its industrial software and automation portfolio with NVIDIA AI to boost computing capabilities aimed at improving efficiency and productivity across industries. At the Hanover Fair, Siemens is presenting the Teamcenter Digital Reality Viewer—the first integration of Siemens Xcelerator with NVIDIA Omniverse. This integration enhances visualization and simulation, enabling the development of immersive, photorealistic digital twins that provide valuable insights into design and operational workflows. Siemens is also demonstrating how users of Simcenter STAR-CCM+ can run more simulations without sacrificing accuracy, thanks to NVIDIA accelerated computing and CUDA-X Libraries. In addition, Siemens is leveraging NVIDIA AI to advance its Industrial Co-Pilot for operations, helping reduce downtime through real-time video analytics.

Siemens and AWS have formed a strategic collaboration to drive smart and sustainable infrastructure. At the Hanover Fair, the two companies are highlighting how Siemens’ digital building platform, Building X, combined with AWS cloud services and AI tools such as Amazon Nova and Amazon Bedrock, enhances efficiency, lowers costs, and automates processes. This integration supports energy savings by providing real-time insights into consumption and emissions data.
