Stratus Technologies Japan, a Japanese subsidiary of Stratus Technologies, an SGH company and a global player in Edge Computing platforms, and TQMO LLC announced a collaborative relationship that combines the Stratus ztC Edge compute platform with TQMO’s “TQMO-XA” software to offer an integrated solution for medical devices. TQMO-XA, developed by TQMO, is built into Stratus’ ztC Edge that helps to enable uninterrupted operation of medical applications. Together, this results in a data solution suited for medical sites that require 24/7 operation.
Combining TQMO-XA with the Stratus ztC Edge fault tolerant platform helps to enable continuous reliable operation, which is essential for medical devices and systems. There are various medical devices, such as monitors for oxygen concentration, electrocardiograms, and ventilators that all capture and track medical information. The patient data collected from these devices needs to be reliable and displayed in real-time. As a result, the TQMO and Stratus ztC Edge solution acts as a data relay point, making it easier to aggregate data and collect it in the cloud.
