Vienna-based TTTech is a group of high-tech companies specializing in safe and secure digital solutions for the smart mobile machinery (TTControl), aerospace, industrial, energy, and automotive sectors (TTTech Auto). After a successful development phase in the automotive industry together with founding shareholder Audi, TTTech Auto was successfully spun off as an auto-tech company in 2018, with Infineon, Samsung, and Aptiv joining as shareholders and TTTech remaining the core shareholder of the company. NXP, a silicon provider and TTTech's technology partner, has announced a definitive agreement to acquire all shares of TTTech Auto in an all-cash deal valued at $625 million, pending regulatory approval.

TTTech is known for commercializing technologies and products from university spin-offs to industrial applications in areas such as airplanes, launchers, spacecrafts, wind-power plants, and mobile machinery. One of the company’s long-term strategic ambitions has been to build a bridge between proven, safe, and highly reliable technology from high dependability markets like aviation and space to the mass automotive and mobile machinery industries under the claim “aerospace safety at automotive cost”.
TTTech plans to allocate a significant portion of the proceeds to enhance its investments in developing safe and secure networking and control solutions for intelligent, autonomous machines in mobile machinery, aviation and space, industrial robotics, and energy IoT (Internet of Things). The Nerve Industrial IoT platform for machine builders is one of its offerings in this area. NXP aims to scale TTTech Auto’s safety software, MotionWise, into its NXP CoreRide platform, accelerating the shift toward Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs) in the automotive sector.
