Achim started his career with the German Air Force. After several positions around aircraft maintenance, he served as a logistics general staff officer. Joining SAP in 2002, Achim worked in consulting, solution management, and development. He was then globally responsible for SAP's solutions for asset management. Today, Achim runs Vesta Partner's European business. Vesta Partners is a global consulting firm, focusing on SAP EAM. Achim obtained a degree in aerospace engineering as well as a degree in economics. For his thesis on the fatigue life behavior of metallic materials he was awarded a doctorate in engineering.
