ARC investigated the global market for artificial lift optimization (ALO) solutions across the onshore, offshore, and subsea segments.  The scope of research provides quantitative analysis of seven systems types: electric submersible pump (ESP), gas lift, hydraulic submersible pump (HSP), jet pump, plunger lift, progressing cavity pump (PCP), and rod pump.

ARC determined the onshore segment, which is seeing resurgent activity related to hydraulic fracturing and directional drilling, comprised the largest majority of shipments, due in large part to the much larger number of producing wells.  The offshore segment comprised the second largest market segment, with the most robust growth likely to come from the reemerging subsea segment as oil prices begin their slow recovery.
