Litmus, a provider of industrial DataOps solutions, has announced the general availability of its new Litmus Unified Namespace (LUNS) product. This release enhances data integration, management, and real-time accessibility for the manufacturing industry, and marks a significant milestone in Litmus’ decade-long dedication to advancing the way industrial enterprises utilize their data.
A Unified Namespace is a modern architectural approach that generates a “single source of truth” by integrating the diverse and disparate data sources historically common to industrial environments. Instead of having data in silos with their own context and format, the Unified Namespace is a central source of data that can be universally accessed and understood by enterprise systems.
Earlier this year, the company announced the beta edition of the Litmus UNS. In collaboration with the industrial and technology communities, Litmus scoped, built, tested, and grew the product that became first globally available version of the Litmus UNS product. Litmus' Unified Namespace represents the company’s commitment to enabling customers to better manage their data operations and prepare for the data-intensive needs of emerging applications such as AI.
Leveraging the MQTT protocol at its core, Litmus UNS promotes easy and fluid data exchange. Litmus UNS offers companies the flexibility to organize their data as per their specific requirements, moving away from restrictive proprietary formats. It supports the creation of scalable data structures that align with operational needs, regardless of the underlying systems or protocols.
Litmus UNS is now readily accessible for download through the Litmus Central Portal, and the company has published comprehensive public documentation and a free Litmus UNS course in the Litmus Academy to help technology users get started. Additionally, Litmus Edge customers can utilize a built-in connector that facilitates automatic transfer and replication of data and data models to Litmus UNS.
