Rockwell Automation announced the enhancement of its FactoryTalk® Optix™ portfolio with DataReady™ smart machines. These updates help to enable real-time, contextualized machine data, which can increase operational efficiency.

DataReady smart machines help to improve visualization, allowing more seamless data transfer and real-time insights. FactoryTalk Optix combines HMI functionality with more advanced data collection, organization, and analysis, sending insights to cloud applications for more enhanced decision-making.

FactoryTalk Optix can help its users to reduce development costs and improve quality with more modern practices, such as continuous integration, automated testing, and multi-user collaboration. Flexible licensing options let users pay for just the features they need.

The portfolio includes:

  • FactoryTalk Optix Software: A scalable HMI platform for browser or desktop, offering features such as web-based design, multi-user collaboration, and version control.
  • OptixPanel: Pre-loaded HMI terminals with FactoryTalk Optix and Remote Access software.
  • FactoryTalk Remote Access: Helps to enable remote connections to equipment for faster issue resolution.
  • ASEM 6300 Industrial PC: Customizable industrial PCs for deploying HMI solutions with FactoryTalk Optix software.
  • Embedded Edge Compute Module: Provides edge computing capabilities with support for REST API, OPC UA, and MQTT protocols, alongside FactoryTalk Optix software.
