Schneider Electric has expanded its Altivar Medium Voltage Drives portfolio with the introduction of the Altivar Process ATV6100. This addition features a more compact design and versatile functionality aimed at helping to improve energy efficiency, further optimize processes, and reduce total cost of ownership. Designed for industries, such as mining, minerals, and metals (MMM); energy and chemicals (E&C); and water/wastewater (WWW), the drive supports a range of applications in both brownfield and greenfield settings.

Key Features and Benefits:

  • Compact Design: The ATV6100 is designed with a smaller footprint, helping to saving up to 40 percent of space, which makes it suitable for facilities with space and budget constraints.

  • Energy Efficiency: Includes clean power low harmonics that comply with IEEE-519 standards, helping to support more sustainable operations.

  • Flexible Maintenance: Service and maintenance tasks can be performed from the front, helping to enhance ease and safety during operations.

  • Broader Compatibility: The drive supports various motor classes conforming to IEC 60034-18 and NEMA MG1 standards, minimizing the need for multiple drive versions.

Applications:

  • Mining, Minerals & Metals: Long-distance conveyors, slurry pumps, SAG/ball mills, HPGR, and ID/FD fans.

  • Energy & Chemicals: ESP, crude oil transfer pumps, pipeline compressors, ID/FD fans, extruders, and mixers.

  • Water/Wastewater: Raw water pumps, lifting stations, blowers/compressors, booster pumps, and high-pressure pumps.

Enhanced Functionality

The drive features a single-unit cabinet design for many applications, helping to minimize installation time by eliminating the need for connecting cables between cabinets. Pre-connected transformer and power cell cables help to reduce commissioning time. The drive also offers failure-tolerant cell bypass and N+1 redundancy for higher availability in critical processes.
