Key Highlights of the Collaboration
Azure IoT Operations Integration: Microsoft debuted Azure IoT Operations at Automation Fair. This solution integrates with Rockwell Automation’s FactoryTalk Optix software platform for Visualization, IIoT, Edge and Data Management, helping manufacturers to capture insights without requiring extensive modifications. The integration helps to simplify connecting plant-floor data with cloud-based applications and improve analytics and scalability across multiple sites.
FactoryTalk Design Studio Copilot: Rockwell Automation has enhanced its FactoryTalk Design Studio with a Generative AI Copilot feature, developed using Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service. This addition allows customers to use natural language prompts for tasks, such as code generation and troubleshooting, helping system design to be faster and more intuitive.
FactoryTalk Optix Food & Beverage Model: Rockwell Automation’s FactoryTalk Optix Food & Beverage model is now included in Microsoft’s AI model catalog. Leveraging Microsoft Phi-3 small language models, this integration provides machine operators with AI-guided instructions, helping to reduce errors and accelerate decision-making via the FactoryTalk Optix interface.
