GE Vernova has completed its acquisition of Woodward, Inc.’s heavy-duty gas turbine combustion parts business in Greenville, S.C. The acquisition includes all assets related to Woodward’s Greenville site.
The acquisition:
Helps to enhance US manufacturing and supply chain resilience.
Increases production capacity for gas turbine combustion parts.
Supports rising energy demands from load growth, data centers, and other sectors.
Expands GE Vernova’s operational capabilities in Greenville.
Financial terms are not disclosed.
This acquisition follows GE Vernova’s previously announced investment of more than $160 million and plans to hire over 650 new employees at its Greenville facility, which has operated in South Carolina for over 50 years.
Shane Long, Global Supply Chain Leader for GE Vernova’s Gas Power business, will lead the integrated team.
