Penguin Solutions announced the second generation of its Stratus ztC Endurance platform, its flagship fault tolerant computing platform with seven nines (99.99999 percent) availability. The new Stratus ztC Endurance family of platforms helps IT teams to better ensure uptime of critical applications and data while consolidating workloads within a more reliable, manageable, and serviceable IT footprint.
This second-generation release introduces a higher-performance model, the Stratus ztC Endurance 9110, which delivers a 46 percent performance improvement compared to the previous 7100 model. With a dense 64-core count, it supports more reliable, higher volume transaction processing within a single platform. The new Stratus ztC Endurance 7110 model provides an 18 percent improvement compared to the 7100. This generation also adds Linux (RHEL 9.4) support alongside bare metal or virtualized versions of Windows Server and VMware vSphere.

This second generation of the Stratus ztC Endurance platform is designed to help address a broader industry shift as organizations seek more highly reliable, consolidated platforms to support both data center and edge workloads, while accommodating the growing AI processing demands in real-time environments.
The second-generation Stratus ztC Endurance product family includes four models powered by fifth generation Intel Xeon processors:
Stratus ztC Endurance Model 9110: Two Intel Xeon Gold 6548N processors with 32 cores per CPU, 64 cores per compute module, and 5200 Mbps DDR5 memory.
Stratus ztC Endurance Model 7110: Two Intel Xeon 5520 processors with 28 cores per CPU, 56 cores per compute module, and 4800 Mbps DDR5 memory.
Stratus ztC Endurance Model 5110: Two Intel Xeon Silver 4510 processors with 12 cores per CPU, 24 cores per compute module, and 4400 Mbps DDR5 memory.
Stratus ztC Endurance Model 3110: Single Intel Xeon Silver 4510 processor with 12 cores per CPU and 4400 Mbps DDR5 memory.
