Rockwell Automation to assume full ownership of its contributed Process Automation Business, while SLB regains full ownership of its Lift Control and Measurement businesses.

Rockwell Automation and SLB announced that, following a strategic review, both companies have agreed to pursue an orderly dissolution of their Sensia joint venture. Established in 2019, Sensia combined Rockwell Automation’s expertise in process automation and Internet of Things technologies with SLB’s expertise in oil and gas measurement, instrumentation, and software.

Under the agreement, Rockwell Automation will assume one hundred percent ownership of the Process Automation Business that it contributed to the joint venture, while SLB will fully regain ownership of its contributed assets, including Lift Control and Measurements. Both companies will continue to collaborate to serve customers, maintaining a partnership that reflects the progress achieved over the past six years.

The transaction is expected to close by the end of March 2026, subject to customary closing conditions. The dissolution will have minimal impact on customers, as both businesses will continue operating and supporting customers without interruption.
