HighByte Releases MCP Services to Support Agentic AI in Industrial Operations

This release outlines how HighByte Intelligence Hub version 4.3 is designed to help support controlled adoption of agentic AI through standardized access to Model Context Protocol services and industrial data pipelines.

HighByte released its Intelligence Hub version 4.3, expanding support for agentic AI adoption through native services aligned with Model Context Protocol (MCP). The release introduced a new MCP Client that helps industrial organizations to localize, consolidate, and govern access to third-party MCP servers, responding to the increasing adoption of MCP as a common interface layer for agent-based AI systems.

Intelligence Hub version 4.3 also includes built-in MCP Server Tools that help to simplify connection to common industrial protocols and data sources. These tools are designed to support organizations that are beginning to deploy AI agents across operational use cases, including asset performance monitoring and quality workflows.

Key elements of Intelligence Hub version 4.3 include:

  • A native MCP Client to manage and control access to external MCP servers.

  • Out-of-the-box MCP Server Tools for connections, including MQTT and OPC UA.

  • Interfaces that expose pipeline configuration controls to AI agents.

  • A centralized MCP Services view for managing available MCP capabilities.

Version 4.3 enables AI-assisted pipeline configuration using natural-language interaction with the Intelligence Hub. This allows users to define and modify data pipelines through AI agents while retaining administrator control and governance over how MCP services are exposed across systems. This helps to position MCP as an enabling layer for improving how industrial data is prepared for use by agent-based AI systems.

Intelligence Hub version 4.3 also introduces High Availability features that synchronize configuration and system state to help reduce data loss and improve operational resilience. In addition, deeper integrations with Microsoft Fabric and Databricks extend connectivity across cloud data environments, including new connections to OneLake, read support for Azure Blob Storage, and Databricks SQL connectivity.

This release reflects HighByte’s focus on industrial DataOps infrastructure that supports scalable, governed deployment of agentic AI while maintaining control across regulated and production-critical environments.
