The Industrial AI track at this year’s EIF will explore important topics that have been identified by ARC’s analysts, resulting in two sessions: “Industrial-Grade AI: Architectures, Agents & Autonomous Operations” and “Open Digital Ecosystem in Practice: AI, Process Safety & HAZOP”.
Industrial-Grade AI: Architectures, Agents & Autonomous Operations
Industrial-grade AI is the hot topic, quickly developing and transitioning from isolated pilots to scalable, composable systems that support autonomous operations across manufacturing, energy, and infrastructure. This session will explore the following aspects: How agentic AI is used to coordinate tasks across production and logistics, enabling dynamic responses to changing conditions. How industrial data fabrics integrate structured and unstructured data into real-time decision-making environments. How digital twins and simulation environments are used to validate AI behavior before deployment, ensuring reliability and safety. The role of edge-native intelligence, showing how AI models are deployed directly at the source to optimize performance and reduce latency.
Attendees will gain insights into how these technologies are driving predictive maintenance, quality control, and energy efficiency, while meeting the rigorous demands of industrial environments.
Open Digital Ecosystem in Practice: AI, Process Safety & HAZOP
In this interactive workshop, participants will work together to define the foundational elements required to operationalize an Open Digital Ecosystem (ODE) for industry wide collaboration. Using HAZOP as the practical development case, we will apply the Lean Canvas methodology to scope and structure an ecosystem approach for creating an ODE based, AI enabled automated HAZOP capability.
HAZOP provides a uniquely suitable starting point: it is widely standardized across industry, supports cross company collaboration, and minimizes intellectual property barriers by focusing on safety as a shared objective. At the same time, its complexity makes it an ideal candidate for applying AI driven reasoning and knowledge reuse to unlock significant efficiency and quality improvements.
