ARC’s European Industry Forum is part of our successful series of worldwide conferences in Europe, America and Asia. The next European Forum will be held in Sitges (Barcelona), Spain on May 4-6, 2026 and focus on “Achieving Resilient Operations through AI, Digitalization, and Sustainability”. Participants are invited to attend exclusive presentations and workshops on strategies and case studies from the digital front lines.

ARC industry analysts and experts from the end user and supplier communities will analyze and discuss trends and drivers covering the currently relevant industry topics.

Machine Building at a Crossroad
The Machine Building at a Crossroad track at this year’s EIF will explore important topics, identified by ARC’s experts, during the session: “Machine Building at a Crossroad : Technologies, Compliance, and New Business Models”.

Machine builders find themselves at a decisive inflection point. Mechatronic complexity is rising, customers expect faster ramp-up and higher uptime, while EU compliance is becoming more dynamic and consequential for product roadmaps and time-to-market. At the same time, the business model is shifting—from one-off deliveries to lifecycle value, services, and outcome-driven offerings. This evolution demands new system architectures, robust data strategies, and closer collaboration across the ecosystem.

This workshop brings together technology, regulations, and business in a single, coherent narrative grounded in real-world machine-builder experience. Topics covered will include:

Technology and Business Evolution

How virtual engineering, modular standards, connectivity, and AIready architectures accelerate design, enable plugandproduce integration, and expand service value.

AI Outlook

What is the impacts of AI for Machinery business? Experiences and successful use cases

License to Operate

A practical perspective on how key EU directives and regulations influence design decisions, documentation requirements, cybersecurity and safety considerations—while enabling innovation without slowing development.

Cybersecurity for Remote Services

Understanding cybersecurity requirements and best practices for generating post-sales revenues streams with Remote Services.

Digital Twin Outlook

How high-fidelity, multidisciplinary digital twins are evolving from visualization tools into operational capabilities - combining virtual and real-world data to accelerate commissioning, enable “replay” troubleshooting, support optimization, and provide pathway toward autonomous functions.
