PTC released Creo 13 and Creo+ 13.3, introducing Creo AI Assistant and enhancements across CAD, model-based product development, simulation-driven design, and manufacturing workflows.

PTC announced the release of Creo 13 and Creo+ 13.3, the latest versions of its on-premises and SaaS Creo® computer-aided design (CAD) solution. The release introduces Creo AI Assistant, along with enhancements across model-based product development, simulation-driven design, and manufacturing. These updates are designed to help engineering teams access guidance, reduce repetitive work, and improve design workflows within the Creo environment.
Creo AI Assistant provides a critical resource embedded directly in the design workflow. Through a chat interface in Creo, users can access guidance based on best practices without having to search through external documentation.
The release also previews a beta capability that reads directly from the 3D model. This capability is intended to extract insights that can help engineers identify design issues earlier, validate compliance, and surface key design data on demand.
Creo 13 and Creo+ 13.3 also include enhancements across several product design workflows, including:
User Productivity: Expanded feature presets and improvements to surfacing, sketching, sheet metal, welding, and multi-body design capabilities.
Assembly Management: Faster assembly loading from Windchill over a Wide-Area Network for users working with large CAD assemblies.
Model-Based Definition: Expanded 3D PDF export and improved annotation tools to help share design intent.
Composite Design and Manufacturing: New capabilities for reusing composite design structure and intent, along with faster transition calculations.
Simulation-Driven Design: Broader simulation coverage across assemblies and electronics scenarios.
Generative Design: Expanded optimization capabilities in assembly contexts, multiphysics scenarios, and constraint cases.
Advanced Manufacturing: Expanded 5-axis toolpath options, improved toolpath setup workflows, and mold design options.
Design for Electrification: Enhanced workflows for harness assembly design and early cable routing.
With Creo 13, Creo+ 13.3, and Creo AI Assistant, PTC is extending AI-enabled functionality within CAD workflows and supporting its broader Intelligent Product Lifecycle strategy.
