ARC Advisory Group recently had an opportunity to sit down with several senior executives from L&T to discuss that organization's impressive engineering heritage and its current range of products, projects, and services. These include support for its global clients' innovation initiatives and research & development efforts for product development, product lifecycle management, manufacturing, IIoT, and asset monitoring.
This informal meeting included discussions with Dr. Keshab Panda, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, and Mr. Samir Bagga, Chief Marketing Officer at L&T Technology Services; plus Mr. Sudhir Chaturvedi, President, Sales & Marketing, and Mr. Peeyush Dubey Chief Marketing Officer at L&T Infotech.
Last, but certainly not least, we had the honor to briefly meet with Mr. A.M. Naik, Group Executive Chairman, Larson & Toubro.
Culture of Innovation
Over breakfast at their hotel, Dr. Panda summarized L&T Technology Services' business growth to more than $468 million in just five years, plus the deep engineering heritage of parent company, L&T, and the organization's many impressive engineering accomplishments in India and elsewhere. Dr. Panda also touched upon L&T Technology Services' strong innovation capabilities. These include significant engineering re-sources (including 23 fully staffed R&D labs and a company-wide "innovation portal"), and an extensive and innovative toolkit. The latter includes the recent development of an Industrial IoT (IIoT) platform for asset tracking and management.
