Siemens Deploys State-of-the-art Technologies for Atal Tunnel

Atal Tunnel is one of the world’s longest and highest-altitude tunnels and will reduce the distance between Manali and Leh in Himachal Pradesh by 46 km.  Siemens has partnered and implemented latest tunnel automation and digital technologies for this prestigious project.  The total length of the tunnel located at Rohtang Pass is 9.02 km and is at an elevation of 3,100 meters (10,000 feet), which makes it the world’s longest at this altitude.

Siemens Gamesa Strengthens Partnership with Adani Green Energy, India

Siemens Gamesa has received a firm order from Adani Green Energy for one of the largest wind power projects in India. The company will deliver 215 SG 2.2-122 wind turbines, totalling 473 MW. The agreement with Adani will see Siemens Gamesa deliver on its core strengths covering manufacturing, supply, installation, and pre-commissioning of the wind turbines for the project in Fatehgarh, Rajasthan, India.

Siemens Gamesa Awarded Vietnam’s Largest Nearshore Project

Siemens Gamesa has strengthened its market leadership position in Vietnam after securing its fifth nearshore wind farm project as the Vietnamese government quickly advances on its renewable energy goals. The latest deal, which surpasses the previous company record in scale for its fourth nearshore project (75 MW) as the largest of its kind in Vietnam, adds a further 78 MW to the company’s existing 174 MW it has already secured, making Siemens Gamesa one of the largest players on the growing Vietnamese nearshore wind market.  

Siemens Gamesa Offshore Wind Project in Taiwan

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) and Hai Long Offshore Wind (Hai Long) announced that the new SG 14-222 DD offshore wind turbine is intended to be used at the upcoming 300 MW Hai Long 2 project in Taiwan.  The deployment of the turbine for the rest of the 1,044 MW Hai Long pipeline is also being considered. The exact number of units for the first 300 MW of the project remains to be confirmed based on site-specific conditions.
