Executive Overview
The investment behavior of companies in different industries varies strongly. In this periodic report, ARC Advisory Group takes a closer look into a number of different industries to identify drivers and their impact, not only on capital investment but also on revenues.
In the first part of the report, we present the development of the capital expenditures and revenues as a whole to provide an overview of the global manufacturing industry development. Then, we compare the industries to explore interdependencies, such as the chemical industry's high dependency on the automotive industry.
Finally, we show the past development of each industry and what has been driving investments and revenues. We also present an expectation of the future development for each industry. This can give companies supplying the industries a better view on how they will perform over the next five years and how global and local factors will impact new investments.

The Sample
