Background and Research Agenda for Machinery Index
- In the early 2000s, ARC published our first quarterly CapEx Report, which looks at future capital expenditures for industrial end user organizations across a range of automation markets.
- In 2010, ARC published our first quarterly Automation Index, which looks at automation expenditures in different major industrial sectors
- Starting in 2017, we began producing an ARC Machinery Index to look at machinery expenditures in different industrial markets. The goal is to provide a more complete picture of the value chain.
- The analysis in this ARC Machinery Index is based on a total sample of 480 publicly held machine builders.
