Rockwell Automation announced the launch of the M100 Electronic Motor Starter, developed to help industrial organizations reduce panel wiring and engineering complexities. The device supports more advanced functional safety requirements while providing a more space-efficient and cost-effective approach to motor control.
Designed to integrate into intelligent motor control setups, the M100 supports productivity improvements and reduced downtime. It builds on Rockwell Automation’s existing motor control portfolio and incorporates point-on-wave (POW) switching technology for smoother motor starts.
Key Features of the M100 Electronic Motor Starter
Functional safety support, including SIL3-certified models
Point-on-wave (POW) switching for more refined motor starting
Electronic overload protection, along with phase loss and imbalance detection
Weld detection for additional operational safety
Zero stacking with no derating up to 55°C, helping to optimize panel space
Direct-on-line (DOL), reversing, and safety functions within the same form factor
Removable terminal blocks, available in both screw and push-in variants
The M100 is designed for a wide range of industrial applications, and to help meet the evolving needs in motor control by combining safety, performance, and simplicity in a more compact footprint.
