FactoryTalk Orchestration is designed to coordinate material flow, production processes, and automated equipment across the factory floor.

Rockwell Automation announced the launch of FactoryTalk Orchestration software, a solution designed to coordinate material flow and production processes from end to end.

FactoryTalk Orchestration is part of Rockwell Automation’s production logistics strategy. The software connects automated equipment with enterprise and plant systems to help coordinate operations using real-time production signals.

Built on the FactoryTalk Optix platform, the solution standardizes connectivity across Rockwell Automation’s portfolio, including OTTO autonomous mobile robots. Rockwell Automation reported that additional ecosystem integrations are planned.

The software is intended to help manufacturers coordinate machines, material handling, and production processes as part of a unified operation. Key areas of focus include:

  • Improving throughput and reducing bottlenecks.

  • Responding faster to disruptions and changing demand.

  • Simplifying operations through real-time orchestration.

At Rockwell Automation’s Twinsburg, Ohio, facility, FactoryTalk Orchestration enabled autonomous operations across key production processes. According to the company, the deployment improved drop-off zone space utilization by up to 70 percent and reduced overall material handling space requirements by up to 50 percent.

The solution is now being expanded to additional Rockwell Automation manufacturing facilities globally.

The launch reflects the growing interest in coordinating automation, robotics, and production systems across factory operations, rather than deploying individual technologies in isolation.
