Schneider Electric introduced StarCharge Fast 720, an electric vehicle (EV) charging solution intended for commercial and industrial sites as well as fleet operators. The system delivers up to 720 kilowatts of charging capacity and can support charging for up to 12 vehicles simultaneously, helping to address increasing demand for high-power eMobility infrastructure.
The charging system is designed to support a range of vehicle types, including electric trucks, buses, and passenger vehicles. Dynamic load management enables charging capacity to be distributed across vehicles based on demand, while overall system efficiency is rated at up to 97 percent.
Scalable Architecture for Site Flexibility
StarCharge Fast 720 uses a decentralized system architecture that allows operators to configure charging layouts based on site requirements. Key architectural characteristics include:
Support for up to six charging dispensers connected to a single power cabinet.
Flexible dispenser placement within an 80-meter radius.
Reduced need for multiple grid connections.
Simplified installation and lower operational noise.
This approach is intended to help support scalable deployments across logistics hubs, depots, and commercial facilities with varying space and power constraints.
Lifecycle Support and System Monitoring
The system includes lifecycle services covering installation, maintenance planning, and operational support. Remote monitoring and asset management are provided through EcoStruxure Energy Asset Portal, enabling operators to track system performance and support uptime across deployed charging infrastructure.
As EV adoption continues to expand across Europe, including increasing penetration of electric vehicles within new registrations and evolving regulatory targets for internal combustion engines, high-capacity charging infrastructure is becoming a core requirement for fleet operators and commercial sites.
