Schneider Electric and Weidmüller collaborate to Help simplify motor control wiring with SNAP IN technology for the new TeSys series.

Schneider Electric and Weidmüller are collaborating to bring Weidmüller’s SNAP IN connection technology to Schneider Electric’s new TeSys series of motor control products. The collaboration introduces a toolless contactor designed to help OEMs and panel builders reduce motor control wiring time by a reported up to 75 percent.

The jointly developed solution for motor control and motor management highlights the role of electrical connection technology in helping to improve installation efficiency, reliability, and usability in industrial applications. The TeSys Deca contactor is the first product in the series to feature Weidmüller's SNAP IN technology and is engineered for use in harsh industrial environments. The product supports Schneider Electric’s broader focus on electrifying, automating, and digitalizing motor management for OEMs.

With the new TeSys series, Schneider Electric is incorporating Weidmüller's SNAP IN into its own product line for the first time. The collaboration is intended to help simplify wiring, accelerate installation, and support greater automation readiness for OEMs and panel builders.

SNAP IN technology enables both stranded and ferruled wires to be inserted directly into the contact point without additional preparation. The pre-tensioned contact points are ready for immediate use, helping to simplify and accelerate the wiring process. A green pusher indicates the switching status of the contact point and provides visual, tactile, and audible feedback, with a distinct click confirming secure contact.

For OEMs, installers, and panel builders, the technology is intended to help support several practical improvements:

• Reduced wiring complexity through direct conductor insertion.

• Shorter installation times for motor control products.

• More consistent conductor insertion and connection reliability.

• Easier maintenance and retrofit work through reusable connection points.

• Improved usability through visual, tactile, and audible feedback.

SNAP IN technology is already used in several Weidmüller products, including Klippon Connect terminal blocks, OMNIMATE 4.0 PCB connectors, RockStar heavy-duty connectors, Push Pull Power plug-in connectors, and PROeco II power supplies.

For the North American market, the rollout of SNAP IN technology begins with the release of the TeSys Deca contactor, manual motor controller, and control relay product lines. Further expansion of SNAP IN into other products within the TeSys series is underway.

This collaboration reflects how connection technology is becoming a more important part of improving efficiency in industrial control systems. As panel builders and OEMs look to help reduce wiring complexity and installation time, toolless connection technologies, such as SNAP IN may help support faster deployment, easier maintenance, and more consistent installation practices across industrial environments.
