Schneider Electric launched its next-generation Harmony XVB7 Modular Tower Lights, a new range of IoT-enabled signaling devices designed to help improve safety, reduce downtime, and enhance operational efficiency in industrial environments.

Preventing Unplanned Downtime in Manufacturing

Unplanned downtime disrupts productivity and inflates operational costs. Many of these disruptions are caused by preventable issues that real-time alerts and predictive monitoring can help to prevent.

The new Harmony XVB7 Tower Lights can provide immediate status signaling, allowing operators and maintenance teams to often act before failures occur, helping to protect both output and equipment.

Smarter, More Resilient Design

  • Efficient Installation: Modular design can reduce setup time by up to 90 percent.

  • Inventory Optimization: Up to 300 percent fewer units are needed to stock for the same model coverage.

  • Enhanced Visibility: Integrated LEDs offer up to 40 percent greater energy efficiency and up to four times brighter illumination.

  • Durability: Withstands dust, moisture, vibrations, and temperature extremes.

  • Flexible Configuration: Customizable light patterns, colors, and sound or voice alarms.

  • Connected Operation: IO-Link and USB connectivity enable remote setup and automatic signaling.

Seamless Transition and Future-Ready Design

The XVB7 series is intended as a drop-in replacement for the outgoing XVB models, offering continuity with updated functionality. It includes design considerations, such as plastic-free, recycled packaging and adherence to international compliance standards. Additional models in the Harmony Tower Light range, including the XV6, XV4, and Harmony Pro Smart Tower Light, are scheduled for release in the second half of 2025.

The updates align with industry shifts toward more intelligent automation and efficient energy use, with signaling solutions playing an important role in operational visibility and responsiveness.
