ARC’s European Industry Forum is part of our successful series of worldwide conferences in Europe, America and Asia. The next European Forum will be held in Sitges (Barcelona), Spain on May 4-6, 2026 and focus on “Achieving Resilient Operations through AI, Digitalization, and Sustainability”. Participants are invited to attend exclusive presentations and workshops on strategies and case studies from the digital front lines.

Keynote: Towards the Adaptive, Autonomous, AI-powered Factory
Manufacturing in Germany is hard. High costs, enormous product variety, and constant pressure to deliver faster, better, and leaner. Yet, this pressure is exactly what drives innovation. Siemens’ keynote, titled “Towards the AAA Factory: Erlangen's AI Use Cases Shape Blueprint for Autonomous Manufacturing”, will demonstrate what is already possible today.

The Siemens Electronics Factory in Erlangen is not a showroom, it is a mid-volume, high-mix production site. Here, AI use cases are built and validated, synthetic data training replaces manual labeling and AI-powered bin picking handles parts without pre-sorting. Meanwhile, closed-loop manufacturing catches defects before they become scrap and AI agents help answer the connectivity bottleneck.

Erlangen is also ‘customer zero’ for the AAA Factory: Adaptive, Autonomous, AI-powered. Together with NVIDIA, Siemens is building the blueprint — validated in a real factory, under real conditions, ready to scale across their global manufacturing network.

The keynote will be delivered by Stephan Schlauß, Global Head of Manufacturing for Siemens Digital Industries, Motion Control. Under his leadership, the network achieved recognition for two World Economic Forum (WEF) awarded Global Lighthouse factories: Nanjing's First Digital Native Factory and Erlangen's Green Lean Digital Factory.
