Siemens plans to make its open IoT ecosystem MindSphere available on Microsoft's Azure cloud platform in 2017.

Siemens and Bentley Systems announced that they have formalized a strategic alliance agreement to drive new business value by accelerating digitalization to advance infrastructure project delivery and asset performance in complementary business areas.

With its Scalance XC-200 product line, Siemens is bringing a new generation of compact Industrial Ethernet switches to the market. Users can set up electrical and optical line, star and ring structures in industrial networks.

At the fourth AutomationML user conference, which took place at Festo AG & Co. KG in Esslingen, Germany, users and partners from science and industry presented applications, guidelines for realizing workflows, and extensions to AutomationML.
