End user organizations in India are looking to both reduce their dependency on manual operations and have real-time data available to use to improve production efficiency and capacity. As a result, we're seeing in-creased levels of automation in the industry.

Vivek Gupta, Head of Department, Instrumentation at DCM Shriram presented a case study on a DCS upgrade project at the company's urea fertilizer plant in Kota (Rajasthan). Gaurav Saran and his colleague, Sristy Raj, both Senior Managers at the Process Visualization Group at Tata Steel spoke about the process visualization and di-agnostic techniques developed in-house and implemented at Tata Steel.
