Renewed agreement extends SeQent’s alarm and event notification capabilities across Velotic’s Proficy Software portfolio, with iFIX support planned for later in 2026.
SeQent and Velotic announced the renewal and expansion of their longstanding partnership to support real-time alarm and event notification across Velotic's Proficy Software, the former manufacturing software business of GE Vernova.
The partnership currently supports Proficy’s CIMPLICITY HMI/SCADA, with capabilities expected to extend to iFIX later in 2026. This will bring real-time alarm and event notification to a broader base of Velotic users.
Velotic is an independent industrial software company consisting primarily of Proficy Software, Kepware, and ThingWorx. SeQent provides industrial alarm notification and plant-floor communication software. The collaboration between SeQent and Velotic’s Proficy business spans more than two decades, with SeQent’s notification platform embedded in alarm and event communication for industrial manufacturers worldwide.
Following Velotic’s recent launch as an independent industrial software company, the two companies have committed to a multi-year agreement that extends the partnership through Velotic’s next phase.
SeQent’s embedded OEM partner model helps to enable industrial software companies to deliver alarm notification capabilities to customers under their own brands. Through this model, SeQent’s wireless alarm and event notification technology supports plant-floor communication across industrial facilities.
Velotic’s Proficy AlarmCast is one example of this model, with SeQent technology serving as the underlying alarm notification engine for over two decades. Under the renewed agreement, the partnership will continue with consolidated offerings aligned with how Velotic’s customers buy, deploy, and scale industrial software.
The SeQent and Velotic agreement focuses on delivering continuity for Velotic customers, including uninterrupted access to alarm notification capabilities already used across Proficy environments. It also supports real-time alerts through email, SMS, and SeQent’s Wi-Fi Messenger mobile app.
The renewed partnership is also intended to support modernized alarm notification offerings and provide a foundation for Velotic’s roadmap for more connected, intelligent, and AI-enabled industrial operations.
