The expanded EcoCare service brings AI-powered condition-based maintenance and remote monitoring to 3-Phase UPS systems.
Schneider Electric announced the expansion of EcoCare, its service plan that combines AI-powered condition-based maintenance and 24/7 remote monitoring, to include 3-Phase UPS systems.

The expanded service is designed to help organizations manage critical assets and systems by using connected data, remote monitoring, and predictive analytics to help improve uptime, enhance safety, and streamline operational efficiency.
According to Schneider Electric, the expansion comes as organizations are facing rising downtime costs, increasing energy demand, and growing pressure to maintain safe, reliable, and compliant operations with constrained resources.
Moving Toward Condition-Based Maintenance
EcoCare supports a shift from reactive or calendar-based maintenance to proactive, condition-based maintenance. The service starts with connected assets and remote monitoring, either through native connectivity or by retrofitting equipment with sensors and network management cards.
Operational and environmental data is continuously captured and analyzed, including:
Temperature
Wear
Aging
Partial discharge
Battery status
This data is then used to help identify degradation and potential failures before they affect operations.
Using Remote Monitoring to Reduce Risk
Data from connected UPS assets flows into Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure IT architecture. Schneider Electric experts at the Connected Services Hub monitor UPS assets at the component level 24/7, using predictive analytics to help detect early signs of potential failure.
The service can support remote troubleshooting or targeted on-site intervention, helping organizations to reduce downtime risk and improve maintenance response.
According to Schneider Electric, customers using 3-Phase UPS remote monitoring have seen a reported up to:
70 percent less electrical failure risk and unplanned downtime on UPS
66 percent fewer break-fix interventions
Five critical UPS failures prevented per year
Applying AI to Maintenance Planning
EcoCare uses AI-powered condition-based maintenance to analyze asset data and maintenance history, helping to determine the optimal timing for the next maintenance intervention.
The AI models are trained on Schneider Electric’s installed base of electrical assets and supported by Schneider Electric’s data science and service expertise. By adapting maintenance schedules to the actual condition of assets, EcoCare is designed to help organizations avoid unnecessary maintenance while also reducing the risk of intervening too late.
Schneider Electric reports that condition-based maintenance can help to:
Reduce intrusive maintenance visits and planned downtime on UPS by up to 50 percent
Extend maintenance intervals from one year to up to two years
Achieve 20 percent OpEx savings compared with traditional calendar-based maintenance
Expanding Support for Critical Operations
EcoCare also provides support services for daily operations, including:
Break-fix emergency intervention: Corrective action delivered remotely or on-site, backed by a service level agreement
Advanced technical support: Access to certified experts for troubleshooting, advice, and issue resolution
Customer Success Plan: A trusted advisor and tailored plan to help improve performance
Additional services: Training, spare parts, and discounted on-site interventions
These services are designed to give organizations faster access to support while helping maintenance teams reduce operational load and respond more effectively to asset health issues.
Supporting Asset Lifecycle Management
The expansion of EcoCare to 3-Phase UPS systems is part of Schneider Electric’s broader Asset Lifecycle Management Services portfolio. The company helps to support customers across plants, data centers, buildings, and grids to operating critical energy systems more reliably, safely, and efficiently.
The 3-Phase UPS expansion follows the launch of EcoCare for building management systems and joins an EcoCare portfolio that spans electrical distribution, single-phase and three-phase UPS, modular data centers, and building management systems.
EcoCare is also complemented by Schneider Electric’s related service offerings, including EcoConsult, which provides consulting services for Asset Performance Management strategy and system optimization, and EcoFit, which supports digital-ready modernization, circularity, repairability, and take-back.
Together, these services reflect Schneider Electric’s focus on helping organizations move from reactive maintenance toward more connected, condition-based asset lifecycle management.
