At the Hannover Messe this year, one clear change was the increased attention to software. Many large software companies had large stands, and many other product or equipment companies featured software prominently at their stand. I spent a bit of time in the Amazon stand, where there was this large, informative wall graphic for the AWS Manufacturing Reference Architecture; it was quite busy, so I couldn’t get a better picture.
