The year-over-year growth of the worldwide enterprise software market accelerated in the third quarter of 2014. Growth in the EMEA region, cloud subscriptions, and acquisition activity were the major contributors to overall growth. The euro appreciated with respect to the dollar just by over 0.2 percent from Q3 2013 to Q2 2014. This exchange rate fluctuation did not have a substantial effect on the overall reported growth rate of the market.
The suppliers included in this report recorded combined quarterly revenue of $20.3 billion, representing a 4.8 percent year-over-year growth rate. The individual year-over-year change in supplier revenues ranged from a reduction of 8.7 percent to an increase of 34.1 percent.
