OSIsoft recently held its 27th annual Users Conference. The theme of the 2016 conference in San Francisco, "Transform Your World" revealed how companies can share data across the enterprise and turn it into operation-al intelligence to drive business decisions. According to the company, it has clients at 19,000 sites connecting over 1.5 billion sensors across di-verse industries in over 125 countries.
The event attracted over 2,500 people from all over the world. There were more than 100 customer-led presentations and case studies with updates on new features, applications, and the value that the PI System is bringing to companies.
As we learned, OSIsoft's PI System software is evolving to help its customers achieve the digital transformation needed to succeed in today's data-driven world. The company continues to invest in infrastructure technology and launched a customer advisory board this year to help set strategic directions. Some new initiatives include services to accelerate digital transformations, cloud services to share data with others, and the OSIsoft marketplace of vendor applications to advance the company's partner ecosystem.
