Siemens announces "SPPA-T3000 Cue", the latest release of its instrumentation and control system for power generation.
The new SPPA-T3000 Cue optimizes the Human-Machine Interface (HMI), using new tools, features and integrated applications. These help the control room personnel to interact with the system more efficiently and more effectively. In addition to an enhanced ergonomic design, SPPA-T3000 Cue supplies the control room staff with context-based and targeted information ("cues"), enabling them to react reliably and more quickly to all processes in the power plant, both in day-to-day work and in critical situations. This reduces the error rate, promoting smooth operation and high availability.
SPPA-T3000 Cue supplies users with focused cues within the context of a wide range of work processes and situations:
- Display areas showing the most important Key Performance Indicators: These areas provide the plant operator with real-time information about the current performance of the plant.
- Shift management: During a shift changeover, operators are provided with a rapid overview of the condition of the plant; daily shift handovers are managed intelligently and efficiently, thus saving time and doing away with errors.
- Integrated condition monitoring: The "Diagnostic Recommended" function provides cues about unexpected changes in conditions long before they become critical.
- Trip Stop: When the control room personnel have only a few seconds to react, the system provides instructions for immediate action.
This release is a further development of the successful power plant control system SPPA-T3000. With this latest release, Siemens is helping to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in power plant operation worldwide. This, in turn, is the basis for plant operators to optimize their cost situation and their plant availability.
The new SPPA-T3000 Cue will be included in all of Siemens' new power generation control solutions in the future. Users of existing Siemens systems can benefit easily and quickly from the advantages of this new release, by migrating or upgrading their current systems.
