ARC’s European Industry Forum is part of our successful series of worldwide conferences in Europe, America and Asia. The next European Forum will be held in Sitges (Barcelona), Spain on May 4-6, 2026 and focus on “Achieving Resilient Operations through AI, Digitalization, and Sustainability”. Participants are invited to attend exclusive presentations and workshops on strategies and case studies from the digital front lines.
ARC industry analysts and experts from the end user and supplier communities will analyze and discuss trends and drivers covering the currently relevant industry topics.
Open Digital Ecosystem Working Group
To unlock the real value of digital solutions, industry must move toward open digital ecosystems, where solutions are designed to be interoperable rather than isolated. This requires solution providers to adopt clear principles around openness, vendor-agnostic architectures, data ownership, interoperability, and transferability, enabling asset owners to scale digital value while avoiding lock-in.
Workshop
ARC moderates the Open Digital Ecosystem Working Group, an industry initiative driven by asset owners and operators. During the ARC Forum, a dedicated closed-door workshop session will bring together existing working group members and additional owner-operators who are interested in these topics. By creating a confidential and neutral environment without solution providers, participants can openly share real-world challenges, discuss operational experiences, and exchange practical insights. The format encourages a candid discussion about digital strategies, implementation barriers, and lessons learned from ongoing initiatives.
The session provides a collaborative setting to discuss concrete use cases and jointly develop practical best practices for open digital ecosystems. During the workshop in Sitges, participants will exchange experiences and explore how open digital ecosystems can be applied in real operations - from data interoperability and platform strategies to governance models that protect data ownership while enabling innovation.
Open Debriefing Session
To conclude the discussions and insights gathered during the workshop and throughout the European Industry Forum, a debriefing meeting will take place on Wednesday afternoon. This session will provide an opportunity for all participants to reflect on the key themes, share the most valuable takeaways and summarize the fruitful discussions that emerged during the ARC Forum.
The session will highlight major insights related to open digital ecosystems, digitalization strategies and industry challenges discussed throughout the event. Participants will also have the opportunity to outline potential next steps and areas for continued collaboration within the working group and the broader industry community.

This interactive workshop in the Industrial AI track aims to define the foundational elements required to operationalize an Open Digital Ecosystem (ODE) for industry wide collaboration. Using HAZOP as the practical development case, we will apply the Lean Canvas methodology to scope and structure an ecosystem approach for creating an ODE based, AI enabled automated HAZOP capability.
Digital Twin Unchained - Plenary discussion
This panel examines how open ecosystems can unlock the true value of digital twins. Today, impact is limited by non interoperable solutions, data silos, poor adoption of open standards, and systems that are hard to scale and maintain. Owner operators, solution providers, and EPCs will share perspectives on how openness and collaboration can enable scalable, sustainable digital twin value.
Digital Twins: Perspectives and Outlook - Workshop
This session is part of the Digital Asset track and presents real world digital twin use cases, demonstrating the tangible value achieved by technology users across the asset lifecycle—from improved engineering and design decisions to enhanced operation and maintenance performance in live industrial environments.
