Connecting design, sourcing, and manufacturing intelligence across the digital thread.

Siemens has entered into a strategic partnership with Xometry, an AI-native marketplace that connects buyers and suppliers of custom manufacturing. The partnership will allow Siemens to embed proprietary manufacturability, pricing, sourcing, and lifecycle intelligence directly into the design digital thread within Siemens Xcelerator.
The partnership will support Siemens’ broader supply chain intelligence strategy by:
Extending Siemens’ design-to-source intelligence capabilities beyond electronics to standard and custom mechanical parts.
Bringing Xometry’s digital marketplace capabilities into Siemens’ design and lifecycle workflows.
Integrating Thomas, Xometry’s North American industrial sourcing network, with Siemens Supplyframe.
Supporting design-to-source intelligence for both electronic and mechanical components.
Helping Siemens customers source complete bills of materials.
Siemens’ Supplyframe brings design-to-source intelligence across electronic components, while Xometry will extend that intelligence into standard and custom mechanical parts through its digital marketplace business and Thomas, its North American industrial sourcing network.
In addition to integration within Siemens’ Designcenter software, the partnership includes the integration of Thomas with Siemens Supplyframe. This will support deeper design-to-source intelligence for both electronic and mechanical components and help Siemens customers source complete bills of materials.
The partnership is accompanied by a minority investment of approximately $50 million into Xometry. The investment reflects Siemens’ focus on AI-powered execution intelligence as part of the next generation of industrial software. By integrating design, pricing, sourcing, and production insights across the digital thread, Siemens and Xometry aim to connect digital design more closely with physical production.
Xometry has built its platform using millions of part files, design feedback from manufacturers, and production outcomes across a global supplier network of more than 5,000 active suppliers. Its models are refined using real-world feedback to support design for manufacturing AI and outputs from the Xometry Instant Quoting Engine, including part pricing and quality insights.
The integration is expected to provide Siemens customers with:
Real-time feedback on design feasibility.
Manufacturing options based on part requirements.
Pricing and lead-time insights within existing workflows.
Greater visibility from design intent to production execution.
Fewer handoffs between design, sourcing, and manufacturing teams.
Unlike integrations that require separate logins, the Siemens and Xometry collaboration is designed to provide a native workflow within Siemens software. Siemens customers will be able to access feedback on design feasibility, manufacturing options, pricing, and lead times directly within their existing design and lifecycle workflows.
As designs progress, the collaboration will also extend into execution visibility, helping teams move from digital intent to physical production with fewer handoffs and greater transparency.
The partnership also supports Siemens’ strategy to broaden access to industrial technology across companies of different sizes. By combining Siemens’ enterprise software and global reach with Xometry’s manufacturing workflows, the collaboration creates new opportunities to engage small and medium-sized manufacturers while supporting the rigor, security, and scalability required by large industrial organizations.
