ARC has been
blogging over the past many months on how IIoT and analytics can play a major role in helping upstream and midstream oil & gas companies deal with the decimation that the rapid and precipitous decline in oil prices over the last 19 months or so and better position them for the coming recovery. One topic that was not specifically called out in most of these
blogs was asset performance management (APM). However, many of these blogs did indirectly address some of the key issues (or benefits) of APM, just not specifically by name.
Asset performance management (APM) has become a popular term for anything that helps asset-intensive enterprises to get the most value from their asset investments. The current generation of APM solutions leverages new technologies - device connectivity, Big Data, analytics, and visualization to enable more effective operations and avoid unplanned downtime.
In order to better understand the impact that APM, IIoT and analytics is having in upstream and midstream oil & gas (as well as many other process industries) today and in the future, ARC is running a survey to obtain critical feedback from operators, end users, and other key stakeholders. This survey is intended to gauge the current state of APM understanding, implementation, best practices, and benefits derived from APM. If you are interested and want to help us out rest assured your response will be kept strictly confidential. No individual or company specific information will be disclosed. All responses will be tallied and only aggregated results will be published.
All respondents will receive a copy of survey summary results in consideration of your time to take the survey. The survey is located here, at
Asset Performance Management in the IIoT Era. Thanks.
