I love graphics that illustrate information clearly. I find good graphics, usually 3D, really help me to understand what is really going on and how things work very quickly. I prefer this method of learning over words, so I’m always looking for good diagrams and pictures that explain complex things. I even draw my own cryptic drawings to help me understand what’s important. When I was a student learning chemistry, I would model reactions so I could understand them better. This is the reason I believe 3D and virtual reality will become the norm in the future. It will evolve from industry to the grade school classroom. To understand what went wrong in an industrial plant the Chemical Safety Board has produced simulations. These simulations help everyone to understand better. The new generation of workers, play awesome games that are very realistic. I recently came across this diagram from Intel corporation that explains their IoT platform, edge analytics, cloud, analytics and decision making in an industrial environment.
See if it helps you understand Intel’s platform. Contact me if you have some other really good learning diagrams…I’m always interested. I also will post more diagrams in the future if there’s an interest. A picture is worth a thousand words and more.
