The collaboration connects real-time operational data with enterprise workflows to help support faster, coordinated responses across mission-critical environments.

Hitachi Digital Services announced that it has partnered with ServiceNow to help further advance Hitachi Intelligent Infrastructure Monitoring (HIIM), an AI-driven solution that provides real-time monitoring and remote inspection while supporting a more coordinated response across complex operational environments.

The collaboration combines Hitachi Digital Services’ operational technology (OT) domain knowledge, physical AI capabilities, and systems integration expertise with the ServiceNow AI Platform. The companies aim to help customers connect operational data with enterprise workflows and better enable teams to act on infrastructure insights at scale.

HIIM and the ServiceNow platform support the broader HMAX by Hitachi portfolio of AI-enabled infrastructure solutions. HMAX combines asset intelligence, digital services, and technical support to help improve infrastructure planning, prediction, prevention, and lifecycle management.

Operators across the energy, mobility, and manufacturing sectors face increasing pressure to maintain safety, reliability, and performance amid workforce constraints and growing operational demands. These challenges are often compounded by disparate systems and siloed data sources that can delay decisions and make it difficult to coordinate responses across operational and enterprise teams.

HIIM is a manufacturer-agnostic technology that integrates data from video, thermal imaging, Internet of Things (IoT) sensors, and advanced analytics to provide continuous visibility into infrastructure health.

When combined with ServiceNow Workflow Data Fabric, analytics, and AI-driven workflows, the solution can help organizations:

  • Compile data from multiple fragmented sources in real time

  • Convert operational data into automated workflows

  • Detect, prioritize, and respond to issues proactively

  • Connect operational and enterprise teams to accelerate resolution and reduce risk

The collaboration is intended to help reduce the disconnect between field operations and enterprise systems by linking infrastructure monitoring data with automated workflows. In mission-critical environments, this approach can help organizations shorten the time between detecting an issue, evaluating its operational impact, and coordinating an appropriate response.

By combining Hitachi Digital Services’ OT and systems integration expertise with ServiceNow’s enterprise workflow capabilities, the companies are positioning HIIM as part of a more connected operating model for infrastructure monitoring and response.

The collaboration reflects the growing focus on connecting real-time operational intelligence with enterprise workflows so that infrastructure operators can move more quickly from issue detection to coordinated action.
